This workshop will begin with a demonstration on the use of photo collage, and mixed media in painting. Materials will include oil and acrylic paint, paper, ink, oil stick and wax mediums. Inspiration is derived from the combination of multiple images to create abstracted environments and works that focus on visual memory. Class participants will have the opportunity to work with these techniques during the workshop and are encouraged to bring a variety of imagery in the form of ink jet prints or color copies of photographs as well as found images / objects from a variety of sources. This is an experimental workshop; therefore all levels of experience are welcome.
