This course is for students of all levels wishing to improve their skills by focusing on the fundamentals of painting outdoors. The first day of the class will begin with a short discussion on key principles of plein air painting: orientation color, value and design. Students will then work on their own composition while Amy circulates to give personal instruction.

The goal of the course is to practice using impressionist color to design and create a harmonious image that resembles nature. The course will meet for three consecutive days in a different location each day. Thursday will be available in the event of rain on one of the three days.
