For over forty-four years, Druid has presented groundbreaking work and has garnered an international reputation for creating electrifying theatre from classical and new Irish writing. Druid is one of the most well-known and respected companies in the English-speaking theatre world. Now White Heron partners with Druid on a newly commissioned play by Alice McDermott, directed by Garry Hynes, founder of Druid and Tony winner for best direction of The Beauty Queen of Leenane. With Alice McDermott in residence, audiences will see a new play in performance and a talkback with the creative team.
