Free admission – Nantucket Atheneum Dance Festival Artistic Director Tyler Angle lifts the curtain and takes the audience behind the scenes on the pieces to be performed at the July 28 and July 29 evening performances.

This year’s dance program includes dancers from three companies performing six works created by American and European contemporary choreographers. Angle will discuss their provenance and the technique required of the dancers to perform them. In addition, members of the dance company will perform excerpts to help illustrate Angle’s remarks.

And along the way Angle will pull dancers, choreographers and musicians onto the stage so that each can discuss their roles in bringing these magnificent dances to life.
